PlayTube: Video & Music Player provides an on-device media library and optional YouTube-related features. This statement summarizes how local media, YouTube API Data, account information, and technical data are handled.
Local Media Security
Your video and audio files remain on your device. They are accessed only after you grant the required Android media permission, solely so the App can list and play them. The App does not upload your local media files to our servers. Local playlists and playback settings are stored in the App's local database on your device.
Accounts and Online Content
The App uses YouTube API Services for features that may include search, browsing, videos, channels, playlists, comments, subscriptions, account actions, and playback. If you choose to sign in, Google handles the sign-in interface. The App may access and store account session information and cookies locally on your device and transmit them to Google or YouTube when needed to provide a feature you request. XS SOFTWARE does not ask you to provide your Google password directly to us.
YouTube API Data
The App may access and temporarily store YouTube-supplied video, channel, playlist, search, comment, subscription, account, and playback information. This information is used to display requested features and perform actions you expressly initiate. We do not sell Google or YouTube account data. YouTube and Google process information under the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Technical and Third-Party Data
Advertising, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, app updates, and Google Play Billing may process limited technical information such as device model, operating-system version, app version, advertising identifier, IP address, crash diagnostics, and general app activity. These services process information according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell this data.
Your Control
You can revoke media and notification permissions in Android settings. You can delete local playlists, preferences, playback history, cached data, and locally stored account session information by signing out where available, clearing the App's data, or uninstalling the App. You can also revoke Google account access through Google Account permissions.
