This Privacy Policy describes the information handled when you use PlayTube: Video & Music Player ("PlayTube" or the "App"), provided by XS SOFTWARE ("we", "us", or "our"). It covers information processed by the App, information you choose to provide, and services supplied by our partners. Please read it together with our Terms of Service. Where a feature requires consent or device permission, your choices determine whether that feature can access the relevant information.
PlayTube plays video files stored on your device. Access to your video library is used to display and play the files you permit the App to access.
The App may keep settings, language and playback preferences, consent choices, recently watched videos, playback positions, favourites, and local playlists on your device. You can remove this App data through available deletion controls, Android app settings, or by uninstalling the App. Removing App data does not normally delete the original video files in your device storage.
With your permission, the App accesses video files stored on your device through Android media access mechanisms. It uses file information, such as names, locations, durations, and thumbnails, to show your library and play selected videos. Your video files are processed locally and are not uploaded to us. Local playlists and preferences remain in the App's local storage.

The App and its service providers may collect technical information including IP address, device model, operating-system and App version, language, country or coarse location derived from IP address, advertising identifier, timestamps, network state, app interactions, diagnostics, and crash logs. This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the App and to provide advertising where allowed.

The free version may display advertisements served by Google AdMob and mediation partners. Advertising providers may use an advertising identifier and technical information to deliver, limit, and measure ads. Where required, the App requests consent through Google's User Messaging Platform. Optional purchases are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your payment-card details.

Local App data remains on your device until you remove it through the available controls, clear App data, or uninstall the App. You manage the original video files separately in your device storage. Technical, advertising, analytics, crash, and purchase information is retained by the relevant providers under their policies and as needed for legal, security, billing, and operational purposes.
Google, Firebase, advertising partners, and other providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required by law, processing is based on your consent, performance of requested services, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App.
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in the relevant country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information improperly.
We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect information processed by the App. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, service providers, or legal requirements. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated date.
